Our third workshop took place on 19th November 2008, at Schenectady Museum, and looked at ways to encourage participation in a program of Social Robotics from academics and students outside of CS and Engineering programs. Specifically, we had discussions with those from the Social Sciences and the Humanities, to find a common vocabulary, and interesting areas of overlap - both at the research and teaching level, that will allow us to communicate key principles of CS and Engineering to a new audience of computer users.
The agenda had four themes: The ethics of Social Robots; Communication with machines; Relationships between human and machine; and Cognition.
